The Mi
chigan Association of Biology Teachers (MABT) is hosting a professional development day at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids on Saturday, September 22 and would like to extend a personal invitation to you. This is a great opportunity to see what a wonderful resource a zoo is for helping students to learn about the world around them and their impact on the world. We are teachers at Forest Hills Central High school and have taken all 350 of our 9th and 12th grade biology students to the zoo for the last three years and are excited to share how we build this into our NGSS content. This lesson could be done in any zoo and modified for any grade level. Attached is a flyer with more information and details on registration. Please pass the information about MABT at the Zoo to your teacher colleagues and consider joining us for the day.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us.Feel free to share this with anyone you feel could benefit, PD is not limited to high school teachers.  NOTE: ATTACHED to the bottom of this post is a flier with more information!  Open the post and scroll to the bottom folder.
